1. Scope and service context
Homio is a service designed to help people who live together organize household expenses, tasks, shopping, a shared calendar, and shared household context.
This Policy applies when you create an account, sign in, use Homio inside a household, open public links controlled by Homio, or contact us about your account.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and technical information needed to keep Homio secure and functioning correctly.
- Account data, such as your email address, password credentials managed by Homio, display name, first name, and last name when provided.
- Household content you create or share, including household names, invitations, expenses, payments, task data, shopping list items, shared lists, calendar events, and related activity history.
- When you send us a suggestion or report a problem from the app, we store the message you write, any screenshots you choose to attach, and technical data about your device: your Homio version, your operating system and its version, your device model, your language, your time zone and the screen you opened the form from. If you report it from a screen that failed, we also store the technical error that occurred. We use it only to reproduce and fix what you tell us. Screenshots are deleted six months after the report is closed, and everything is deleted when you delete your account.
- Automatic error reports: when the app fails, a technical report is sent to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) with the error and where it happened, the Homio version, the operating system, the device model and the recent technical events leading up to the error (for example, the app’s internal requests and their results), along with an internal identifier of your account and of the active household. It does not include your email, your name or your IP address, and we use it only to find and fix failures.
- Regional and device-related context that supports the service, including locale and time zone.
- Authentication, session, and security information reasonably required to sign you in, maintain your session, detect misuse, and protect accounts.
- Push notification tokens for the devices where you install Homio, used only to deliver the notifications you have enabled. You can turn notification types off inside the app or revoke the permission at the system level.
- Subscription status for optional paid features, processed through the app stores and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). Homio never receives or stores your payment card details; payments are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play.
- Basic first-party analytics about visits to our public web pages, limited to page path, referrer, campaign parameters, device type, and language. We do not store your IP address or a browser fingerprint for analytics.
3. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To operate shared household features and display the correct household context.
- To send essential service communications such as password reset and invitation flows.
- To support authentication flows, including sign-in methods you choose to use.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect the integrity of the service.
- To localize the product experience using your language and regional context.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate Homio, maintain shared household history, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.
If you delete your account through Homio, your personal account data is anonymized according to the product behavior currently implemented by the service. Shared household history may remain in an anonymized form so other household members can keep an accurate record of expenses, tasks, shopping activity, and related history.
6. Your choices
You can update parts of your profile information inside the app.
You can request password recovery through Homio if you lose access to your account.
You can request account deletion through the app. If you need privacy help or have questions about deletion, contact us at hello@gethomio.app.
7. Children's privacy
Homio is not directed to children. You should only use Homio if you are old enough to agree to the service under the laws that apply to you.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we do, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
